📖 How to Play Wall Maze

Objective

Guide your pawn from its starting edge to the opposite edge before anyone else reaches their goal.

How to Play

Wall Maze is played on a 9 by 9 board. Each turn, choose one action: move your pawn one square up, down, left, or right, or place one wall on the lines between squares. Pawns cannot walk through walls. If an opponent stands next to you and there is space behind them, you may hop over that pawn in a straight line. Walls cover two small edges, so one careful wall can slow a racer without stopping the game. Every wall is checked before it lands: each player must still have at least one open path to their finish edge.

How to Win

The first pawn to step onto its opposite edge wins immediately.

Tips

Move toward your goal early, then use walls to bend the leader's path. Save a few walls for the endgame. A wall near the middle often changes more paths than a wall near a corner, but a late wall beside a goal can buy one important turn.
