Objective
Shut as many numbered tiles as you can. After every player has taken one turn, whoever has the lowest total left standing wins.
How to Play
- On your turn you start with tiles 1-9 all open and roll two dice.
- Select any open tiles whose numbers add up exactly to your roll, then confirm your selection to shut them.
- Keep rolling and shutting tiles. If tiles 7, 8 and 9 are all already shut, you may choose to roll just one die instead of two.
- Your turn ends the moment a roll has no possible combination of open tiles that adds up to it.
- Shutting every tile (a perfect "shut the box") ends your turn instantly with a score of 0 — the best possible result.
How to Win
Once every player has completed their one turn, add up each player's open tiles. The lowest total wins; ties are allowed. Shutting the box completely guarantees at least a tie for the win.
Tips
- Closing one big tile instead of splitting it across several small ones keeps more flexible combinations open for later rolls.
- Once 7, 8 and 9 are shut, switching to a single die is often smarter — it is far more likely to match your remaining small tiles.
