Objective
Gomoku is a five-in-a-row strategy game played on a grid. Your goal is to place five of your stones in one straight line before the other player does.
How to Play
- Black goes first, then players take turns placing one stone on any empty spot.
- In online play, each player uses their own device.
- In Play vs Computer, you are Player 1 with black stones, and the computer is Player 2 with white stones.
How to Win
Make an unbroken line of five or more of your stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The game ends as soon as a player completes that line. If the whole board fills up with no five-in-a-row, the game is a draw.
Tips
- Watch both your own lines and your opponent's lines every turn.
- Block four-in-a-row right away, because it can win on the next move.
- Try building open threes and open fours, where both ends still have space.
