Move your pieces across the dark squares, jump the other side, and try to be the last player with a legal move.
Players take turns moving one piece diagonally forward to an empty dark square. Red starts near the bottom and moves upward; black starts near the top and moves downward. If one of your pieces can jump over an opponent's piece into an empty square, you must capture it. After a capture, keep jumping with that same piece if another capture is available.
You win by capturing every opposing piece or by blocking the other player so they have no legal move. When a regular piece reaches the far side of the board, it becomes a king and may move diagonally forward or backward.
Look for safe captures, protect pieces that are close to becoming kings, and try to trade only when it helps you. Kings are powerful, so make one when you can!
